What Is The Importance Of Prayer Times?

”The best of’ the deeds or deed is the (observance of) prayer at its proper time and kindness to the parents.” (Buhari, Mevakiti’s-Salât)

As it is stated in the hadith-i Sharif, the best deed is to perform the prayer during the prayer times, because the most important thing after iman is the prayer.

“And I have chosen you, so listen to that which is inspired to you. Verily, I am Allah! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for My remembrance.” (Surah Taha,13-14)

Prayer is the first pillar of Islam that the Prophet (s.a.v.) mentioned after mentioning the testimony of faith, by which one becomes a Muslim. Therefore, Allah (c.c.) has set 5 prayer to worship Him and his forgiveness.

It is important in Islam to pray 5 times a day. Daily prayers are obligation for all Muslims. This is why nearly all of the world’s more than 1.2 billion Muslims turn toward Mecca every day on prayer times.

The Prophet (s.a.v) has also said Allah’s forgiveness and pleasure is closely related to the prayers:

”Allah has obligated five prayers. Whoever excellently performs their ablutions, prays them in their proper times, completes their bows, prostrations and khushu (complete sincerity) has a promise from Allah that He will forgive him. And whoever does not do that has no promise from Allah. He may either forgive him or punish him.” (Recorded by Malik)

WHEN SHOULD MUSLİMS PRAY?

The five daily prayers are obligatory upon every Muslim, and should be performed within the prescribed time periods. The five ritual prayers are prescribed in the Qur’an. However prayer times are specified in the hadiths. The direction of prayer is called the qibla which means the direction Muslims turn to the city of Makkah to pray.

The importance of Al Fajr prayer

The Al Fajr prayer is especially important because the angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at dawn to witness the prayer. Allah sends His angels to His servants to witness their prayer. This proves that this prayer is precious in the eyes of our Lord. In fact, Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “The common prayer is superior to the individual prayer by twenty-seven degrees. The angels of the day and the angels of the night meet at the time of the morning prayer. “What a blessing from our Lord! The angels gather for the dawn prayer SubhnaAllah.

Its importance is also proven by the fact that it protects us from Hell. In fact, ‘Umara b. Ru’ayba (peace be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever performs the prayer before sunrise and the prayer before sunset will not go to Hell. These are the prayers of Fajr and ‘asr. How can we still doubt their importance and merits? This prayer is a blessing for us because it will enable us to avoid the fire of Hell, incha Allah. SobhanAllah! What better thing could we hope for? The importance of Al Fajr prayer is amply proved by its merits.
